Bajaj Power Venture has appointed RS Sharma as the new Managing Director. He, has also served as the CMD of state-run NTPC. He has also acted as CEO and MD for Jindal Power.
Sharma is BE Mechanical from the Government Engineering College, Rewa in Madhya Pradesh and also a recipient of many awards and accolade.
The power business of the Bajaj group includes Bajaj Energy with 450 MW thermal power generations and the Lalitpur Power Generation Co Ltd with 1,980 MW thermal power generation capacities.
“Sharma comes with over 44 years of experience in the sector. Of this, an illustrious 30 years was at the country’s largest power company – National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC),” the company said.
The group with turnover of more than Rs 10,000 crore also deals in real estate and personal care segments.
