As a result, NTPC would be rising up power transmission by approximately 40 percent to UP. The added allowance of power to UP would approach from new NTPC units in the state adding up 3,648 Mw.

Yadav has assured to offer 22 hours and 16 hours continuous power transmission in metropolitan and rural regions correspondingly by 2016-17, even if there is still gigantic power discrepancy in UP, which touches almost 3,000 mw throughout peak hours.
